Product Description
This is a 1st Regiment of Artillery button measuring 21mm. They played a significant role in the War of 1812 consisting of regular and volunteer artillery units from both the Regular Army and New York Militia.
The regiment participated in various battles and engagements, including Fort Niagara, Queenstown Heights, and Sackets Harbor. A portion of the regiment was captured during the attack on Fort Niagara. It comes in the glass top display case pictured.
