Very unique, Civil War Officer’s Wooden Traveling Calendar (SOLD,F)

This is a very unique piece being offered, it is a Civil War Officer’s Traveling Calendar, circa 1820 - 1860. It is made of wood and measures 4” x 2 ½” x 5” high. On the sides are small wooden knobs to adjust the day. The top turns to the month, the next two turn forward and reverse for the day, and the last is for the day of the week.

It is well made, and the front has glass covering the dates. This would look great in an officer’s or even a Civil War Surgeon’s display next to a lap desk and letters. I doubt you will ever find another.
