“Stars and Bars” Tobacco lapel pin, with CS flag

Stars and Bars Tobacco "For Veteran Chewers", Mfd. by Taylor Bros. Winston, N.C. It measures about 1” and two tiny tabs for bending over to attach. It pictures the Confederate Battle flag in color. 

Taylor Brothers facility, Winston-Salem, N.C., was founded in 1883. It was a key manufacturing facility for American Snuff Co. where processed tobacco was received and made into a variety of high-quality smokeless products.

During that time period there were many Confederate veterans and companies took full advantage in catering to them with a variety of products. A pin such as this with the flag was very appealing to them. In very nice condition for being over 140 years old.
