This is another nice item being offered, it is an excavated soldier’s pocketknife. It is made of brass and measures 4” x ¾”; the blades being iron are long gone, only remnants remaining. It was recovered at a Confederate camp in Mulberry, Tennessee.
Mulberry is south of Shelbyville and the site of a Cavalry skirmish in July 1864. The area seen a lot of troop movements throughout the Civil War. It is in solid condition and comes in the glass top display case pictured.
