Revolutionary War Pewter Inkwell (SOLD,N)

This is another great piece being offered, it is a Revolutionary War era pewter inkwell. It has a 4” diameter and stands 2 1/2” high. There is a hinged lid surrounded by holes to hold dip and quill pens.

This inkwell is in very nice condition, and the hinged lid easily opens and closes. This inkwell would go great alongside a period document or letter. There are similar examples of this inkwell in the “Collectors Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution” (see pictures).
