Pair of iron Civil War stirrups, used by Dragoons and the Artillery

Being offered is a nice Civil War set of iron stirrups. They measure approximately 5 ½” x 4 12” x 1 ½” and weigh about 12 ounces each. These type of stirrups are associated with Dragoons and the Artillery.

In “Horse Equipment of the Civil War”, by Howard Crouch, he shows similar stirrups and says they were also known to be used by Confederates (see pictures). They are both in solid condition and would make a nice addition to about any Civil War collection.
