Full view CDV image of a Civil War Union sergeant

This is a great Civil War CDV image being offered, it is an almost full-view of a young Union sergeant. He is clean shaven and wearing an infantry 9-button frock coat with sergeant stripes plainly visible on both arms.

The backmark is “Johnston Bros / 867 Broadway / New York”. Within their logo is a Patriotic Eagle with shield. Obviously this photography studio catered to the military which for years were coming and going through New York City.

This is a very clear image and the card is near perfect, not being trimmed or cut corners, no bends or folds. It would be hard to find a nicer view of a Union soldier – it comes in a protective plastic sleeve. (FREE SHIPPING)
