Early Gettysburg souvenir - Jennie Wade House Tape Measure

This is another nice Gettysburg piece being offered, it is an early 20^th century souvenir Jennie Wade Tape measure. It is made of tin and has a diameter of 1 ½” with a color picture of the Jennie Wade House on one side with the description “House in which Jennie Wade was shot / Gettysburg PA”. On the other side is a color picture of Little Round top which reads “The Summit of Little Round Top / Gettysburg PA”.

The house is one of the biggest attractions in Gettysburg because of it being where Jennie Wade was killed, the only civilian killed at Gettysburg. In my book “Battle of Gettysburg – The Relics, Artifacts & Souvenirs”, I have many Jennie Wade souvenir pieces shown (see pictures). It comes in the glass top display case pictured.
