This is another interesting item being offered, it is a very crude iron spatula. It has an overall measurement of 17 ½” with the flat section 4” x 2 ½”. It was found in Gettysburg outside of town along York Road.
This is something typical of what a soldier would use while cooking over a fire. This piece is so crude, I don’t even think a blacksmith made it – possibly field-made. It does have overall rust, as seen in the pictures, however it is solid and there is no flaking. Anyway, it is a very unique piece and would go great in a Civil War camp display.
