Civil War Soldier’s Pocket Mirror (SOLD)

This is another nice item being offered, it is a Civil War soldiers pocket mirror with a diameter of 3”. The glass is intact with no cracks, but because of its age, it is difficult to see a reflection. On the back side is a small hook for propping up or hanging.

These inexpensive mirrors were popular items which were sold by the camp sutlers. Evidence of their popularity is reflected by numerous recoveries in Civil War campsites and battlefields. This would make a nice addition to a soldier’s personal effects.
