Civil War brass photograph frame (SOLD)

This is another nice item being offered, it is the ornate brass frame from a soldier's cased image photograph. It measures approximately 2 1/4" x 1 3/4". Most of these images were of a soldier's wife or girlfriend and would have been a cherished keepsake. This unique piece was recovered on a northern Virginia battlefield and is just as found with the original uncleaned patina.
