Book, "Civil War Canteens", by Steve Sylvia and Mike O'Donnell

“Civil War Canteens” by Sylvia and O’Donnell is an excellent reference book for Civil War collectors. It is filled with terrific photos and write-ups on a huge variety of canteens, going from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War. It is soft cover and has 184 pages.

Some of the canteens are now in my private collection and used in my book “The Civil War Canteen – Third Edition”. This is a “must have” book and I have referred to my copy hundreds of times over the years, and still do today. It is slightly used but in excellent condition.  It is now out of print and usually difficult to find.
